Samsung is preparing to unveil a Transformer phone that turns into a 10-inch tablet

Samsung continues to experiment with phone formats. Next in line is the Galaxy G Fold tri-fold smartphone (name tentative), which is capable of turning into a tablet with a 10-inch display.

Its three-fold mechanism was created with the problems of previous foldable devices in mind. The body folds like the letter G, which completely hides the screen when the phone is in a pocket or bag, unlike Z-folds where part of the screen remains exposed.

G-shape also guarantees protection from scratches OLED-display, but the presence of two separate displays makes the gadget thicker and more expensive than, for example, the counterpart from Huawei.

According to available information, Samsung plans to release 300 thousand devices. The start of sales will begin, tentatively, in the third quarter of this year.
